CAMDEN MARKET’S HISTORIC HORSE HOSPITAL IS RESTORED AS A NEW MODERN, RUSTIC PUB & RESTAURANT.

We are excited to announce that The Farrier pub and restaurant will be opening on 15th April 2021, for outdoor dining and drinking, making it Camden Market’s first ever pub.

THE FARRIER is a new neighbourhood pub and restaurant, breathing new life into the beautifully restored, Grade II listed, former horse hospital and stables buildings.

The three Michelin star trained chef will focus on modern rustic dining accompanied by an extensive selection of artisan and natural wines. With a hidden courtyard, outdoor heating and fire pit, The Farrier will become your new local.

Ollie Patterson, Co-Founder of The Farrier comments: “It’s been a long time coming, but we’re finally emerging from the other side and ready to welcome Londoners with open arms for quality comfort food, wine and some much needed good times”

THE FOOD

Heading up the restaurant’s kitchen will be three Michelin star-trained chef, Ash Finch who learnt his craft at top London establishments; The Langham and Wild Honey.

Finch joins The Farrier to curate a changing seasonal menu of modern comfort dishes that celebrate bold flavours and quality produce from the British countryside and sea.

Dishes include Game Pie, Sole wrapped in Chicken Skin, Wild Smoked Pigeon, Crab Mac & Cheese and Salt Baked Squash. As well as Sunday ‘Sharing Roasts’: a whole roast poultry, meat or game from the seasonal specials board, to carve yourself at the table, accompanied by all the trimmings and bottomless gravy.

Foodies can sign up to The Farrier newsletter here to be informed of when events will take place and tickets are released.

THE DRINK

The Farrier’s piece-de-resistance will be its floor to ceiling wine wall with sliding ladder. Speciality and rare natural, biodynamic and organic wines from small producers and wineries from around the world. Styles will range from natural British sparkling wines, to easy drinking favourites, whilst showcasing lesser known orange wines and rare low production reds.

“We’ve collectively worked in the hospitality and music industry for over 30 years. Through events and tastings, our jobs have allowed us the luxury of experiencing some of the finest foods and wines often only available in high end or intimidating settings. We wanted to create a welcoming space where people can have access to those quality food and wine experiences but in a totally relaxed and laid back environment.” Chris Gibson, co-founder The Farrier.

In true neighbourhood style, a nod to the local area has been made with Camden Hells and Camden Pale Ale available on tap, alongside an ever changing selection of craft beers, whilst the back bar’s range of spirits will include The Farrier’s own neighbours, Half Hitch Gin, also located in the market.

THE INTERIORS

The 2,100 sq ft site has been respectfully restored to preserve its history and heritage, embracing its original exposed brickwork and cast iron features, whilst adding warmth throughout with an indoor fire, candlelight and soft furnishings. The outside area will feature a hidden courtyard with outdoor heating and fire pit.

THE MUSIC

Music will be an integral part of The Farrier experience.

“Camden is the capital’s music heartbeat and birthplace of so many musical greats; it seemed like a natural fit for us to combine our love for music, food and drink and bring our London venture to life.”  George Hartshorn, co-founder of The Farrier.
