Coffee House Sessions: Scott McWatt
Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland the neo-folk singer/songwriter has released two critically acclaimed albums and has played everywhere from Ireland to Estonia, encapsulating audiences with his blue-collared outlook on life. Despite writing songs and lyrics since the age of 14, Scott didn’t actually own or know how to play a guitar until he was 18. After dabbling in various bands, Scott finally settled as a solo artist.
In 2012, Scott McWatt released his debut album 'Jekyll and Hyde' and his second album 'A Ceist Ama' showed growth and maturity in his music. By 2015, he was balancing music and his day job, performing at over 300 shows across the UK and Europe. To top off his tremendous year, he released his new EP 'The Bar in a Beautiful Place', recorded with Grammy award-winning producer Jim Lowe (Stereophonics, Taylor Swift, Beyonce), bringing a different spin on his new work.
