Rudie’s serves some pretty impressive jerk meats, but these hot BBQ dishes are even more addictive than you might imagine, especially when paired with a cold cocktail. Carefully marinated for at least 24 hours in a secret sauce and cooked traditionally over charcoal and wood chips, your meat can be served in a box alongside rice and a wedge of lime, or in a flat bread wrap. There are plenty of veggie and vegan options like fried plantain and chickpea curry, as well as small bites such as saltfish fritters, peppered prawns and chicken wings.
Co-founded by Michelle and Matin Miah, Rudie’s Jerk Shack was inspired by family trips to Jamaica spent discovering all the delicacies of the island – from pork cooked in smoky jerk pits and freshly caught grilled fish to cold rum punch on the beach. After opening popular locations south of the river, Rudie’s Jerk Shack is bringing the relaxed vibes, reggae and succulent specialties of the Caribbean to Camden.
