What’s the best thing since sliced bread? Handmade bread, baked fresh daily in Camden Market, that’s what. The Flour Station, born in Jamie Oliver’s first Fifteen restaurant nearly 15 years ago, and now selling in producer markets and to restaurants all over London, are opening their first bricks-and-mortar cafe-bakery in our North Yard this month. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s all about the dough though: they also serve some of the finest artisan produce in London – Electric Coffee, cheeses from Neal’s Yard Dairy and jams from England Preserves – as well as a selection of homemade cakes, pastries, salads and sandwiches. Pick up a freshly-baked loaf (their sourdough comes highly recommended), or sit down and enjoy it straight from the oven.
