4 Must-See Live Music Events

Camden has long been the place to spot the music’s next big thing… and we’ve got a whole bunch of hotly-tipped artists seizing the mic (and decks) here in Camden Market this summer. If you love a gig, get these dates in your diary, pronto.

North Yard Summer Jams

This is a great British street party, with a Camden twist. The vibe is summer drinks, deckchairs, fish and chips and a bar behind a white picket fence. Our resident band, The North Yard Collective will be playing live laid-back jazz and blues until the sun goes down – and it’s happening every Saturday afternoon this summer. Tempted? We thought so.

Solomons’ Yard

Another al fresco special from the Solomons’ boys – this time headlined by the one and only, Emily Rawson. The acclaimed female DJ – who often mixes for Radio 1Xtra – is bringing her Supa Dupa Fly night to the cobbles, taking you back to the old school with a knock out blend of throwback floorfillers and R&B anthems. Street food and summer cocktails will be served up into the small hours.

UK Unsigned Hype

This is like a hip hop open mic night – but the artists are handpicked by UK Unsigned Hype, which is run by rapper Duane Flames, so you know these MCs are the real deal. The night is hosted by Duane himself. Expect to see some of London’s freshest underground lyricists dropping bars like they’re hot.

Coffee House Sessions

Bringing together two of our favourite things: caffeine and music, Coffee House Sessions is a circuit of live acoustic gigs touring London this summer. Every Saturday afternoon for three months, different artists will be taking to the stage in Camden Market cafes, all of which you can enjoy with a freshly brewed cuppa. Great idea, right? Next up is Nadia Rae.
